St. Marys Star, Jan. 14, 1892, page 5:
Andrew Ramsey, aged 20 years, started from G.W. Leonhart's residence in Wabaunsee county Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock to go hunting. When in the yard the gun was accidentally discharged, the load passing into his head near the temple and out at the top, killing him instantly. He was a highly respected young man and his untimely death is to be deplored by all who knew him. The funeral sermon was preached at his home Tuesday by Rev. Allman, and the remains interred in the Greenwood cemetery. Peace be to him.
