Frances Aycock King, age 86, passed away on Friday, April 7, 2017. Born in Warren County, NC on December 24, 1930, she was the daughter of the late George Leon Aycock and Kathlene Fuller Aycock. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Jackson King; son, Stanley Ray King; and grandson, Jackson Braswell King.

Frances drove a school bus for Nash Rocky Mount Schools and Enfield Academy for 15 years. She was a longtime member of York United Methodist Church. Frances loved working with her flowers, mowing her lawn and she loved Bluegrass Music. She was a devoted and loving mother, wife, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. She was so kind to all she met and she was very loved by all that knew her. Frances will be dearly missed and will never be forgotten.

Frances leaves behind to cherish her memory, son, Dennis Floyd King and girlfriend, Molly Satterwhite, of Nashville; and daughters, Nancy King Weaver and husband, James, of Nashville; and Beverly King Parrish and husband, Jeff, of Red Oak. She is also survived by grandchildren, Stan, Jason, Jamie, Caroline, Graceann, Bailey, Watson, Brooke, and Connor; and great-grandchildren, Logan, Garrett, Andy, and Maggie.

A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, April 10, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Rocky Mount Memorial Park with Pastor Larry Smith officiating. The family will receive friends and relatives on Sunday, April 9, 2017 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services and other times at the home of her daughter, Nancy Weaver, 3027 North NC Hwy. 58, Nashville, NC 27856.
