A lifelong area resident, Joy was born on September 17, 1928 the daughter of the late Everett and Dorothy Mosher King.
She graduated from Fort Plain High School in 1945. Joy was employed by several local banks. She was also a dedicated public servant who served in several capacities including, Town Clerk of the Town of Minden, Deputy Clerk of the Village of Fort Plain and as a Justice of the Peace for the Town of Root.
She was predeceased by her husbands, Edward Robert Hall in 1965 and Domenick Amatangelo in 2004.
She is survived by her children, Bruce Hall, Denise Dingman and Debra Schuh; one sister Anita DePentu; 10 grandchildren; 4 great granddaughters; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Graveside Service of Remembrance will take place at the Fort Plain Cemetery.
