AFFIDAVIT OF IDENTITY

WILLIAM H. AKERS, of Homestead, County of Dade, State of Florida, being duly sworn before me, does depose and say as follows:

1. That he and ELIZABETH MORTIMEYER were legally married on December 3, A.D. 1868.
2. That to that union was born CONWAY L. AKERS, on the 1st day of January, A.D. 1871 and that he is the oldest of their children.
3. That to make this affidavit, he refreshed his memory of the dates of the births, written in his own handwriting, now in his possession.
4. That the object of this affidavit is to establish the fact of record that Conway L. Akers was born January 1, A.D. 1871 and that he can use this affidavit to establish that fact.

And further deponent sayeth not.

HOLD RITES SATURDAY FOR WM. HENRY AKERS -- Wm. Henry Akers who died Monday [8 Feb] at the Hunt hospital, will be buried in Palm cemetery at Naranja Saturday afternoon, it was announced last night by Turner Funeral Home which is in charge of arrangements. The Rev. C.N. Walker, pastor of the Baptist Church, will conduct the services at the cemetery at 2 o'clock.

Mr. Akers, who was 96 years old and had been under the care of Mrs. Florence Hunt for the past four years, was born in Pennsylvania and came to Florida 22 years ago. He came to the Redland District shortly afterward and has made his home in Naranja, Modello and Homestead.

He leaves three sons: C.L. Akers of Homestead, J.W. Akers of Corvallis, Oregon, L.D. Akers of Prairie View, [K]an.; and one daughter, Miss Elizabeth Akers of San Francisco, Cal.
