Israel Dahlgren, 68, 1902 Highland Ave., died Friday at Waukesha Memorial Hospital after suffering a heart attack.
He worked as a plumber at the Veterans Administration Medical Center and retired in 1981. He was a member of the American Legion and served in the Navy in World War II.
He is survived by wife Betty; sons David and Ronald C., both of Waukesha, James Greenwald of New Berlin and Robert Erickson of Milwaukee; daughters, Rosalie Sader, Marael Dimmick and June Morkin, all of Waukesha, Joanne Chase of Hartland; brother Floyd Dalgren; sisters Elaine Willmann of Greenfield and Nellie Kuntz of Waukesha, and 19 grandchildren.
Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Matthias Episcopal Church. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park, New Berlin. Friends may call 4 to 9 today at the Randle-Dable Funeral Home. American Legion Post 8 will hold a memborial service at 7 tonight at the funeral home.
