Eddie presumably the twin of Fredda ELLIS.

Mary Jane Galer's list of persons interred in the New Cemetery area of Linwood shows: Eddie ELLIS was buried 02 OCT 1879 in Section 2, Lot 715 1/2 - Sexton Abraham ODOM. [Galer's source was the sexton's card file (an index). The original burial record in the sexton's ledger book mentions this child was born in Georgia, died of unknown cause (age not reported, so probably stillborn or short-lived), and was buried in Lots 715 1/2 and 723 1/2, as a resident of Columbus, Georgia (so probably was born and died there).]

This grave is evidently not identifiably marked. On 20 MAR 1877, John R ELLIS and brother paid $5 (resident rate) for Lots 715 1/2 and 723 1/2 in Section 2. Others reported to be here include: Fredda ELLIS, buried 08 OCT 1879 (aged 7 days); Fannie Wylene ELLIS, buried 22 MAY 1887 (aged 13 years); Robert F. ELLIS (27 JUN 1854--07 AUG 1923), marked; and Mary Elizabeth (CLEMENTS) ELLIS (12 MAR 1855--29 DEC 1929), marked. Marked graves are in Lot 136 of Section F in Dolores Autry's "Historic Linwood Cemetery" book (edited by Lea Dowd et al.), Volume 2.

Others possibly nearby: Lena May ELLIS (buried 19 JUN 1888, aged not reported) in Section 2, Lot 697 1/2, which is paired with Lot 686 1/2 (DENSON lots, probably Autry F-142) in the next row of half lots to the north of 715 1/2 & 723 1/2 (perhaps the location of Lena May's grave was misrecorded?).Section 1, Lot 651 1/2 - Margaret Ann (WHEAT) ELLIS (1892-1927), in Dolores Autry's Section F, Lot 110 "A. S. MATTHESON" on step; and Section 2, Lot 797 - several ELLIS graves in Autry's Section D, Lot 57 "MARCRUM" on step - see her "Historic Linwood Cemetery" book, Volume 2.
