BORGER - Lodema Benton, 77, died Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2007, in Amarillo.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Riverview Baptist Church with the Rev. Terry Porter, Dr. Charles Jones, the Rev. Dale Peirce and the Rev. Scott Wallace officiating.

Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Pampa by Brown Funeral Directors of Borger.

Mrs. Benton was born Aug. 6, 1929, in Wister, Okla., to Marcus P. and Blanche Ann Estes Armstrong. She married Kenneth Benton on June 13, 1953, in Borger.

Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Stephanie Ann Rankin of Yukon, Okla.; a son Kenny Benton of Tulsa, Okla.; seven sisters, Freda King of Bartlesville, Okla., Jeanetta Eads and Wanda Armstrong, both of Abilene, Shirley Ann Baze of Amarillo, Barbara Pitcock of Sheridan, Ark., Cathy Mahler of Wilmington, Del., and Sharon Kay Calhoun of Borger; a brother, Clytee Armstrong of Fritch; and five grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be to Gideons International, P.O. Box 5800, Borger, TX 79008-5800.
