Salvador was born in Santa Ana and grew up in Los Angeles.

He enlisted in the Marines 1 October 1964, at a Los Angeles Recruiting Office.

Salvador and Cecilia Velasquez were married 22 July 1967 in Los Angeles.

Upon arriving in Vietnam 12 August 1967, Salvador was assigned to 1st Platoon, Charlie Company, 1st Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment, 1st Marine

Division. Salvador died as a result of multiple gunshot wounds to the head and body from enemy rifle fire, during an engagement with enemy forces deep in the Hai Lang Forest and 14 kilometers southwest of Hai Lang.

Salvador was one of nine Marines killed during the night, and 34 out the 40-member platoon that were wounded, during Operation Medina.

Salvador was married and served his country for 3 years and 11 days and KIA #16,942.

He had been in Vietnam for 2 months.

Salvador was 21 years, 1 month and 15 days old.

Survived by his wife, Cecilia Velasquez Bazulto of 441 N Brady Avenue, Montebello, California, and his parents, Salvador G and Rafaila F Bazulto and

his brother, Charles all of 1517 Steele Avenue, Los Angeles, California.
