Mrs. Blanche C. Bowen, 87, died suddenly Wednesday morning (11-29-00) at Satilla Regional Medical Center. She is native of Pierce County, but a resident of Waycross. She worked most of her life in the food service industry. She was also a member of Grace Baptist Church.
She is the daughter of the late Cullen Cowart and Eliza Strickland Cowart. She is the wife of the late Fred C. Bowen, Sr. She is predeceased by her Son: Freddie Bowen, Jr.
She is survived by her 2 Daughters: Edna Dyal of Blackshear, GA, and Anna Smith of Morrow, GA; 2 Sons: Marc Bowen and David both of Prattville, AL; 1 Brother: A. J. Cowart of West Point, GA; 14 Grandchildren; 17 Great Grandchildren; 3 Great Great Grandchildren. A service will be held 11 AM Friday (12-1-00) at the Chapel of Music Funeral Home.
Burial will follow in Enon Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Thursday night at Music Funeral Home 7-9 PM.
