Adam Schmoker is the eldest son of twelve children born to Caleb and Elizabeth Schmoker of Olney. Ill. Adam grew up in Olney and was employed as a bookkeeper in a local dry goods store. Adam married Helen Negley on Oct 27, 1909 in Evansville Ind. Adam lived his entire life in Olney, Richland Co, Ill., except a short time where he lived in Arizona due to health problems. Adam died after a lengthy ailment in an Anna, Illinois hospital and was buried somewhere around Anna.
He is survived by his wife Helen of Anna, Illinois, six sisters, Mrs. Theodore (Anna) Schrey, Mrs. Hobart (Agnes) Gardner, Mrs. Arthur (Ida) Faris, Mrs. William (Mary) Eyer, Mrs. John (Louise) Hammer, Mrs. Milburn (Harriet) Mower all of Olney and four brothers, Frank and Dan Schmoker, of Olney, Fred Schmoker of Oberlin, Kansas and William Schmoker of Wenatchee, Washington. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
