Mrs. Catherine Denmark, seventy eight years old, widow of William H. Denmark, died last evening at 9:30 o'clock at the home of her son, Adelbert Denmark, 31 Cayadutta street. Death was due to a stroke of apoplexy.
Mrs. Denmark was born April 24, 1842, in the town of Johnstown, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Frederick. She had been a resident of Johnstown for the last twenty-two years. She was a member of the local branch of the W.C. T. U., and the Methodist church.
The survivors are one son, Adelbert Denmark, of this city and several grandchildren.
The funeral will be held Monday afternoon from the home at 2 o'clock. Rev. Charles M. Sturgess, D. D., pastor of the Methodist church will officiate. Interment in the Fern Dale Cemetery.
