Fannie Ewing, 77, of Sherman, passed away at 8:26 a.m. on Monday, May 1, 2017 at her residence.

Fannie was born on December 6, 1939 in Sherman, the daughter of Joseph and Audria Sevedge Silverio. She married Bill Ewing on November 18, 1988; he preceded her in death on January 9, 2012.

Fannie was employed by Lums Restaurant for many years. This is where she met her husband. She enjoyed crocheting, traveling, and volunteering for Senior Services. She was also preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Jim Silverio.

She is survived by her two sons, Craig (wife, Sharon) Gladson of Muldraugh, KY and Andrew (wife, Teresa) Gladson of Rochester; daughter, Deanna (husband, Norman) Doty of Williamsville; seven grandchildren, Audria Richmond, Nathan Doty, Jared Gladson, Kara Smith, and Dylan, Devin and Dawson Gladson; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Emma (husband, Bob) Whitlock of Indianola, IA and Marie (husband, Bob) Bay of Albia, IA; and a few nieces and nephews.

Cremation will be accorded by Butler Cremation Tribute Center prior to ceremonies.

Memorial Gathering and Memorial Ceremony: Family will receive friends at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 4, 2017 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, Springfield, until the time of the ceremony at 11:30 a.m. with Celebrant Judy Woerner officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
