Mrs. Mary Mildred Mickey, daughter of the late Rev. J. L. Ross and Mrs. Pearl Jones Ross was born May 20, 1920 in Alto, Tx. This beautiful life came to a close Thursday morning, March 8, 1984 in Houston, Tx.

She united with the St. Thomas Chapel A.M.E. Church at an early age. She was a loyal and faithful member. She served as class leader, President of Stewardess Board No. 2, Vice President of the Missionary Society, Vice President of the Senior Choir, Treasurer of the Sunday School and a member of the Steward Board.

Mrs. Mickey was united in Holy Matrimony with Homer Mickey in 1938. To this union 10 children were born. He preceded her in death.

Survivors include:
Daughters: Agnes Tilley, Mary Whitaker & Margie Coleman, all of Alto, Brenda Gross of San Antonio, Miss Racheal Mickey of Beaumont
Sons: Homer Mickey of Dallas, Bouche Mickey, Marvin Mickey and Stanley Mickey of Houston, Wilkin Mickey of Lufkin
Sisters: Ethel Benton, Mattie Simmons of Houston
Brothers: Ramon Ross of Alto and Earlie Ross of Houston
20 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
