Andrew Banachowski, 47, of 377 Elm street, a former pottery worker, died at the Canonsburg General Hospital yesterday evening at 11:05, following a period of illness lasting five days.

He was born in Poland but come to Canonsburg where he held residence for the past 30 years. He was a member of the St. Genevieve's Roman Catholic church and also a member of the Polish Roman Catholic Union.

He is survived by his wife, Mary, one daughter, Mrs. Pauline McCartny, of Canonsburg, and three grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at nine o'clock at the late home with Requiem mass following at the St. Genevieve's church at 9:30. Father E. R.

Szelong will officiate. Burial will follow at the St. Patrick's cemetery.

The body will be removed from the Yoney Funeral Home this afternoon to the late home where friends will be received until the hour of the funeral..
