Born in Ohio, Almeda Reed came from a very large family; her mother remarried after her father died, and combined the Reed and Long families; they moved to Iowa before the 1856 census. Almeda married on March 20, 1862 in Lucas County, Iowa, to James F Molesworth, and they were blessed with a son and a daughter. They moved to live in Kansas; Almeda and James Molesworth were married 30 years, and he died in 1892. She is on census later as a widow with her daughter and 2 granddaughters living with her. Almeda died in 1915 and is buried in same cemetery as husband James Molesworth and their daughter Ethel A Molesworth Hugo.
