East Vandergrift
Anna Pencak Albert, 89, of East Vandergrift, died Wednesday (July 7, 2004) in Allegheny Valley Hospital, Harrison.
Born July 26, 1914, in East Vandergrift, she lived there all her life.
She was a line worker at the Joseph Finch Co. in Schenley, Gilpin.
Mrs. Albert was a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church, and the Slovak and Lithuanian clubs, all in East Vandergrift.
She enjoyed bingo and embroidering.
Survivors include two sisters, Pauline Nadybal of West Leechburg and Sophie Schlenner of Plum.
Also surviving are several nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel "Shy" Albert, in 1987; her parents, Andrew and Julianna Grigliak Pencak; three brothers, Joseph, Andrew and George Pencak; and three sisters, Julia Shotts, Helen Dunmire and Mary Puleo.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 tonight in the DUNMIRE-KERR FUNERAL HOME INC., 244 Franklin Ave., Vandergrift. Christian Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday in Our Lady Queen of Peace Church with the Rev. Michael Kallock as celebrant. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell.
