Mrs. William Skillen, 72, pioneer resident of Iron Mountain, died this morning at home 1101 Prospect Avenue, following a serious illness of 2 months. Born in the County of Cumberland, England, she was of Scotch descent, her maiden name being Mavir.
After her marriage in England, the Skillens came to this country.
She was a member of the Presbyterian Church.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by 5 children: Elizabeth, Jackson, Mich.; Mary, Lancaster, Penn; Winifred, New York, N.Y.; William Ewart, Chicago & Margaret,
Iron Mountain. Interment will be in Cemetery Park.
