Mary Banister Graham, age 93, of Cadiz, KY, passed away Friday, December 2, 2016, at Trigg County Hospital in Cadiz, KY. Mrs. Graham began her career in 1952 as secretary to the P.H. Oliver Insurance Agency. From 1954 to 1977, she served as an Office Deputy for the Trigg County Sheriff's Office. In 1966, Mary was appointed by Trigg Fiscal Court as County Treasurer, a position she held until 1986. She also served as secretary to former Trigg County Judge Executive Zelner Cossey. In past years, Mrs. Graham was active in the Cadiz United Methodist Church in Cadiz, KY and Woodmen of the World, Chapter 20; and served as Worthy Matron in the Ophelia Chapter No. 55, Order of the Eastern Star.

She is survived by: one son - Joe H. Graham & wife, Sylvia, Castle Rock, CO; four grandchildren - Scott Graham, Cary, NC; Mary Atkins, Aurora, CO; Eric Graham, Key West, FL; and Luke Graham, Denver, CO; four great grandchildren - Dillan Graham, Ramsay Graham, Amber Atkins, and Adam Atkins; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by: father - Arthur Turner Banister; mother - Magdalene Adams Banister; husband - Joe W. Graham; one son - John Graham; and four brothers - Percy Banister, John Banister, Claude Banister, and Lacy Banister.

Arrangements are being handled by Goodwin Funeral Home, Inc., 138 Main Street in Cadiz, KY, where the family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM Monday, December 5, 2016. The funeral service will be at Goodwin Funeral Home at 1:00 PM Monday, December 5, 2016. Burial will follow at East End Cemetery in Cadiz, KY.
