Lawrence M. Kochan, age 88 of Whitelaw died Friday morning, October 16, 1998, at his residence.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, October 19, 1998, at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc. Officiating at the service will be Rev. Richard Heyman with burial at Knollwood Memorial Gardens, Town of Kossuth. He was born July 4, 1910, in Edgar, Wis., son of the late August and Theresa Kochan. Lawrence was a veteran of the United States Air Force serving during World War II. On October 6, 1973, he married the former Dorothy Post at St. Michael Catholic Church, Whitelaw. He was employed at the Larsen Canning Company for many years until his retirement. He was a member of the Manitowoc Amvets Otto Oas Post #99. The couple enjoyed camping for many years near Pine Grove.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy, Whitelaw; one son and daughter-in-law. Rudolph and Orlana Johnson, Brillion; two granddaughters, Samantha Brandenburg and her husband, Mark, Tina Rohr; six great-grandchildren; one sister, Clara Ewen, Francis Creek; one sister-in-law, Olive Kochan, Reedsville. Also surviving are nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister-in-law, Walter and Grace Kochan, Myron Kochan; one brother-in-law, William Ewen.

Friends may call at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from 5-8 p.m. Sunday where the rosary will be said at 6:30 p.m. by Rev. Richard Heyman.
