Nancy Osborn was born Dec 2, 1811, to Jemima Cox and Jacob Osborn in Mercer Co., PA. On Dec. 22, 1831, she married John Sampson Thompson, Sr. They had nine children: Ariadna 1832; William A. 1834; Hiram Dixon 1836; Cyrus Beckwith 1837; Noah M. 1839; Louis 1842; Jemima 1845; John Sampson 1847 and James 1849. In 1867 the family migrated to Jackson Co. Iowa and in the same year moved to Jasper Co. Iowa. In 1878 Nancy and John moved to Fairmont Nebraska where they remained until her death in Feb 1886./Added by Lonna Beth
