He was Justice of the Inferior Court 1822-29. He was very political serving in 1823 from Bulloch Co in the General Assembly. In 1827, the GA State Senate for 1 term. 1833 he was a delegate to the GA Constitutional Convention at Milledgeville. He was active in support of Judge James M Wayne for Convention President. (Wayne eventually served on the US Supreme Court.) 1839 he again represented Bulloch Co at the Reduction Convention and was returned to the GA House that same year. 1841-43 he served again while also retaining a position as Justice of Inferior Court 1837 to his death in 1846.
