w/o William Jackson EASTERLING (buried as W. M. Easterling, this section, see his listing). She is buried as A. J. Easterling, wife of Wm. Easterling. Ann Jane was a daughter of Malachi Moye Denmark and Ann Jane "Jincy" Wise Denmark. Burial is unknown but they died in Bulloch County, GA, so there's a good chance they are buried there. They were associated with the Upper Black Creek Primitive Baptist Church.

Just a note for clarification: Malachi was a Senator and both Malachi Denmark and his brother Redding (a.k.a. Redden) Denmark legally carried the surname Moye until 1802 when, at his and his brother Redding's request, the Georgia legislature passed an act which stated:"Redden and Malachi Moye (who) have generally been called and known by the names of Redden and Malachi Denmark, and now wish and desire to bear, use and retain the name of Denmark, and they are hereby confirmed therein by law" (Act of November 18, 1802). I have also seen the year as 1812.

William and Ann Jane were married 02 Jul 1854 in Bulloch Co., GA, and had 5 children:

1. John Easterling, b. 1855

2. Henry J. Easterling, b. 23 Apr 1857; d. 11 Mar 1929, married to Jane L. Whitten, d/o Joseph Whitten & Ann Elizabeth WARNELL, both buried in the Taylors Creek Cemetery, Ft. Stewart, Bryan Co., GA; plot 118. Henry was also married to Mary Temperance Dubberly, and had two children that I know of at this point, Dorma J. Easterling, b. 04 Dec 1907, d. 24 Jun 1908. She is buried in the Beards Creek Cemetery, Glennville, Tattnall Co., GA; Section B3 as "Baby of H. J. and Mary Easterling," and another "Infant Babe of H. J. & Mary Easterling, b. 17 Jun 1894; d. 29 Jun 1894.

3. Mary Jane Easterling, b. 25 Dec 1860, Tattnall Co., GA; d. 16 Feb 1918.

4. Jessie Jasper Easterling, b. Apr 1866

5. James Easterling, no other information.

Ann Jane was #11 of twelve children. I will list them here because I don't know where the parents are buried. I have listed the number of children each had, if known. I have names and dates for them, along with dates of birth and death for most all spouses, and can share with a family member if this is your line. Send me a note.
