Mrs. Cox was born Feb. 18, 1910 in Peabody, Kans. and died and died Dec. 4 at her home after a lengthy illness. She married Morris Lawrence Feb. 5, 1929 and married Oct. 2, 1949 Alan Buford Cox. He died in 1985. She moved with her family when she was a year old to a farm south of Carnegie. She graduated from Carnegie High School in 1927 and attended Hill's Business College in Oklahoma City and the University of Oklahoma in Norman. In 1941 she moved to Los Angeles where she was affiliated with NBC Radio. In 1943, she produced syndicated programs and eventually established her own company, Lawrence Productions.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, Scott and Alice (Johnson) Eaton; four brothers and three sisters. Survivors include one daughter, Barbara of Los Angeles, Calif. and one brother, Woodrow Eaton of California; four grandchildren, Melinda Murphy, Steven Nelson and Barry Nelson, all of California, and Michael Murphy of Seattle, Wash.
