Joseph was born Jan. 17, 1941, in Phillipsburg, NJ. He was the son of the late Joseph and the late Zenobia (Karasirwicz) Gromlowicz.
He served in the U.S. Army after high school and was employed as a machinist with Bell and Howell. Joe was a simple man who loved being home with his family.
His brother, Kenneth Gromlowicz, predeceased him in February of this year.
Joe is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Elizabeth (Kovatch) Gromlowicz; two daughters, Lisa Reilly and her husband, Sean, and Beth Scanlon and her husband, James; one son, Jeffrey Gromlowicz and his wife, Eileen; brothers, Raymond and Gerald Gromlowicz; also surviving are his adoring and cherished eight grandchildren, Kelly and Caitlin Reilly, Joseph and Luke Gromlowicz, Thomas, Jacqueline, Emily and Ava Scanlon(.
Friends and relatives are invited to gather from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. prior to the Mass at the Martin Funeral Home, 1761 Route 31, Clinton, NJ 08809.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 31, at The Church of Saint Ann, 6 Church Street, Hampton, NJ. A private burial will follow after mass.
In lieu of flowers, donations in honor of Joe may be made for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, at www.stjude.org/donate

Personal Note from Dee: Joe attended and graduated from Hampton Elementary in 1955 and North Hunterdon Regional High School, Class of 1959. He was a wonderful athlete excelling in basketball, baseball, and football. He will be well remembered by his classmates and all Hamptonites.
