Age 91, died Wednesday, May 31, 2017, at her home in Onsted, MI. She was born February 19, 1926, in Willis, MI to George and Frances Polzin. On December 30, 1944, she married Chester J. Fleszar in Carleton, MI. Theresa retired in January 1990 as a Registrar Assistant at Washtenaw Community College after 22 years of service. She was a member of St. Rita Catholic Church in Clarklake, Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Milan, St. Joseph Catholic Church in Whittaker, the Altar Society, and enjoyed gardening.
She is survived by her children, Sandra (Michael) Watts of Plymouth, James (Dee) Fleszar of Milan, Suzanne Fleszar of New Port Ritchey, FL, William (Barbara) Fleszar of Brighton, and Patricia (Daniel) Waltz of Saline, 12 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, sisters, Helen (David) Nordman of Ann Arbor, Delores Spears of Phoenix, AZ, Genevieve Bies of Willis, and brother-in-law, Jerome Bies of Saline.
She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Robert, daughter, Mary Terese, brothers, Lawrence Polzin and George Polzin, sisters, Margaret Watrous, Rosella Nowak, Irene Bies, sister-in-law, Beverly Polzin, brothers-in-law, Judd Watrous, Thomas Nowak, Thomas Spears, and Stanley Bies.
Visitation will be held at Ochalek-Stark Funeral Home in Milan, MI on Friday, June 2nd from 3:00-8:00 pm with a Rosary Service at 7:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, June 3rd at 11:00 am at St. Rita Catholic Church in Clarklake, MI with visitation beginning at 10:00 am with celebrant Father Thomas Helfrich officiating. Burial on Saturday, June 3rd at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Whittaker, MI at 3:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made for a Memorial Mass or to the charity of one’s choice.
