She was born September 12, 1955 in Salt Lake City, Utah, the daughter of Jack and Jean Johnson Smith. Jackie married the love of her life, Mike Nester, on July 6, 1989.
She was full of life, had a great sense of humor, always willing to go out of her way to help others, and was a free spirit. Above all she loved her family and was very proud of her boys. Jackie loved fishing, ATV's, traveling, boating, football, family get-togethers, playing with her grandchildren, and rocks.
Survived by her husband Mike, sons, Shane (Christina), Jarrod (Maci), Nick, daughter, Angie (Greg), in-laws, Kathryn Nester and John Swisher, grandchildren, Zach, Dylan, Skyler, Aubrecia, Tielyr, Reece, Kostner, Kayden, Blaise, Ayden, and her very special friend Wendy Lowe. Preceded in death by her parents, and her little shitz, Boo and Mysti.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. at Lindquist's Layton Mortuary, 1867 North Fairfield Road. Friends may visit the family on Tuesday from 1:00 to 2:45 p.m. at the mortuary.
