Ludowici – Anthony Adams, 64, passed away Thursday, June 8, 2017 at his home with his family by his side after a courageous battle with leukemia. He was born on May 20, 1953 in Dayton, OH, had formerly lived in Troy, OH before moving to Ludowici. He worked as a superintendent of The McCarty Corp. for 36 years. He loved to fish, shoot and spend time with his family and friends. A US Marine veteran, he was a kind and generous man who would do anything for his family. He loved unconditionally and was fiercely protective of his loved ones. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren and will be missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Orville and Cecelia Adams, and a brother, Christopher.

Survivors are his wife of 40 years, Karen Adams of Ludowici; son and daughter-in-law, Joshua Adams and Amy of Mechanicsville, VA; daughter and son-in-law, Tiffany Cammack and Dean of Ludowici; sisters and brothers-in-law, Corrine Chimera and Joseph of Phoenix, AZ, Theresa Chaney and John of Troy, OH, Conchetta Moore and Roger of Troy, OH, and Laura Pierce of Bowling Green, OH; brothers, Mark Adams of Troy, OH and Michael Adams of Dayton, OH; his loving in-laws, Melvin and Laverne Glover of San Diego, CA; sisters-in-law, Nan and Dan Corn of Sacramento, CA and Debby and Mike Jones of Bay City, MI; brothers-in-law, Melvin and Steve of Sacramento, CA; grandchildren, Braden, Britt, Brooks and Berkley Adams and Joseph Cammack; numerous nieces and nephews and longtime friends, Frank and Sheila Barron of Vass, NC.

Funeral services will be Sunday, June 11 at 3 PM in the chapel of Howard Funeral Home with Rev. Eric Rentz officiating.

Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.

Burial will follow in Baggs Cemetery.
