Robert Sumner "Bob" Fackrell passed away at his home in Mountain Home on June 6, 2017. He was 83 years old.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 10, 2017, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 8th Street Chapel. Cremation was under the care of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel.

Bob was born Dec. 13, 1933, in Wilder, Idaho. At the time, Bob’s family was living in Cow Valley, Ore. In the spring of 1935, the family moved to Homedale. They resided there until the spring of 1944, then the family moved to a homestead just across the Oregon border.

Bob was drafted into the U.S. Army in 1954. He served two years and was discharged in 1956. After his father passed away, Bob went to Barber school in Boise.

He served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Virginia, West Virginia and North Carolina from 1959 to 1961.

He has lived in Mountain Home since 1962. He is survived by his wife, Delia; his brothers, Earl and Ralph; and his sister, Mildred. He was preceded in death by his father David, mother Elsie and two brothers, Bruce and Richard.
