SHAMROCK - Amos Reeves, 94, died Thursday, Feb. 22, 2007, in Amarillo.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in First Baptist Church with Joe G. Jernigan and the Rev. Mike Martin, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Shamrock Cemetery by Wright Funeral Directors.

Amos Reeves was born Oct. 25, 1912, in Twitty to Raymond and Myrtle McDonald Reeves. He married Louise Bell on March 25, 1933, in Shamrock. She preceded him in death on March 18, 2002.

Mr. Reeves was a farmer and a member of First Baptist Church.

He was also preceded in death by his parents; and three brothers, J.C., Roy and Kenneth Reeves.

Survivors include two sons, Michael Reeves and wife Judy of Amarillo and Tony Reeves and wife Debbie of Shamrock; two daughters, Jackie Bass and husband P.R. of Shamrock and Mickey Miller and husband Wilburn of Bakersfield, Calif.; a brother, Donald Reeves of Wheeler; 11 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be to Cal Farley's Boys Ranch, P.O. Box 1890, Amarillo, TX 79174-0001 or Shamrock Meals on Wheels, P.O. Box 575, Shamrock, TX 79079.
