He was born in Henry County on Dec. 19, 1896. He was a member of Emmanuel Methodist Church and Fraternal Order of Eagles.
Surviving are three sons, Kenneth R. and Roland D. of Galesburg and Max R. of Memphis, Tenn.; a sister, Mrs. Rose Shroyer of Rock Island, and 12 grandchildren.
Funeral will be Monday at 1:30 p.m. at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Chapel, where friends may call Sunday evening. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Funeral for Ralph G. Johnson, 76, of 376 S. Seminary St., who died Thursday, was today at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Chapel at 1:30 p.m. Rev. Robert McDonald, pastor of Emmanuel Methodist Church, officiated.
Burial was at Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers were Joe Scheneler, Guy Trulock, C.A. Sharick, Forrie Cherrington, Carl Stoff and Lyle Roach.
