Genevieve H. Johnson Watts, 91, formerly of 1384 N. Henderson St., died at 4:25 p.m. Monday, Dec. 23, 1996, at Marigold Health Care Center.

Born March 22, 1905, in Galesburg to Walter and Clara Johnson Smith, she married Ralph G. Johnson in 1923. He preceded her in death. She later married Roy Watts in 1945. He also preceded her in death, as did one son, Larry Johnson, in 1926, two brothers and two sisters.

Surviving are three sons, Kenneth R. Johnson and Roland D. Johnson, both of Galesburg, and Max R. Johnson of Memphis, Tenn.; 14 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

She worked for Gross Galesburg Manufacturing for more than 20 years and also worked for Admiral Co. for more than 20 years, retiring in 1970. She was a past member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary in Galesburg.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel. The Rev. Steve Munson will officiate. Visitation will be 30 minutes before services at the chapel. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
