Obituary. Salt Lake Telegram, Salt Lake City, UT, Tuesday, Sep 20, 1938, pg 19: "George Lyon, 80, a farmer of Elko, Nev., died Tuesday at 6:30 a.m. at the home of a son, George Budd Lyon, in Kaysville of a cerebral hemorrhage, relatives here were informed.

"Mr. Lyon was born in the state of Delaware, April 12, 1858, and was brought to Utah by his parents, Thomas and Mary Lyon, when he was 4 years old. He had resided most of his life in Nevada, having come to Kaysville recently on a visit.

"Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 10:30 a.m. in the Lindquist & Sons mortuary chapel in Logan, burial following in the Smithfield cemetery."
