Hazel Cook Asp, 93, of Rockford, Illinois, passed away at 4:32 p.m. Sunday, November 26, 2006, at St. Anthony Medical Center. Born November 21, 1913, in Orfordville, Wisconsin, the daughter of August and Eliza (Sagen) Weberg.

Hazel graduated from Rockford Central High School in 1932. Married Robert L. Cook. He predeceased her. She later married Nelson C. Asp, October 17, 1982. He passed away in October of 1994.

Hazel was a member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church, and a member of Ruth Circle. She taught Sunday school for 22 years.

Hazel is survived by: sons, Robert (Joan) Cook and Richard (Sandra) Cook; grandchildren, Lynn (Frank) Larson, Scott Cook, Randall (Sue) Cook, Julie Cook (Armando) Ramirez and Jamie (Kelly) Cook; six great-grandchildren; and four nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by: parents; husbands; brothers, Lawrence and Herman Weberg; and sister, Selma Sandell.

Funeral service on Friday, December 1, 2006, at Our Saviors Lutheran Church, Rockford. Burial in Arlington Memorial Park.
