Carmelita Dardar Alexander was born in Lafayette to the late Murphy Dardar, Sr. and Leona Joseph. She enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking, traveling, and talking on the phone. Carmelita will be remembered for her love for life and her sense of humor. She was always happy and enjoyed making people laugh and smile. Carmelita will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her loving children, Robert Lee Alexander, Ronnie Lee Alexander and his fiancée Tiesha Caldwell, Rebecca Lynn Alexander and Raymond Louis Alexander; grandchildren, Mia Lynn and Tatiana Carmen Alexander, Lovella Aurora Vlount, and Tiara Raneese Caldwell; brothers, Murphy Dardar, Jr., Armand Dardar and his wife Aline, and Ramsey Dardar and his wife Lorraine; sister, Georgian Gaylor and her husband Albert; her special friend, Kelvin Fisher; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father, Murphy Dardar, Sr.; mother, Leona Joseph; and sister, Pamela Dardar.
Pallbearers will be Robert Alexander, Ronnie Lee Alexander, Raymond Alexander, Reginald Dardar, D'Macio Dardar, and Julien Dardar.
Honorary pallbearers will be Armand Dardar, Murphy Dardar, Jr., and Derrick Dardar.
