Phyllis I. Byard, 71, of Lodi, died Friday, Oct. 29, 1999, at Ohio Pythian Sisters Home in Medina.
She was born Aug. 25, 1928, in Wadsworth to Paul and Alice (Hood) Smith. She was a homemaker all her life.
Mrs. Byard is survived by her children and their spouses, Barbara and Donald Brown of Florida, Robert Byard of Spencer, William Byard of Chippewa Lake and Craig and Cheryl Byard of Lodi; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brother, Robert Smith of Ashland; and sister, Norma Kitts of Rittman.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, William Byard, in 1993.
Service: 11 a.m. Tuesday at Matteson Funeral Home, 40 Congress St., West Salem.
Interment: Woodlawn Cemetery, Wadsworth.
Visiting service: 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
