Norma Jean Kitts, 79, Rittman, died Friday evening, June 22, 2012, at the Hospice of Medina County Care Center in Medina.

She was born April 19, 1933, in Wadsworth to Paul and Alice (Hood) Smith and lived in Wadsworth before moving to Rittman in 1951.

Norma Jean was a former telephone operator in Rittman, a cook at Rubbermaid, cashier at Trogdon's Grocery and a baby-sitter.

She was a member of the Rittman Christian Church and enjoyed camping, casinos in Atlantic City and traveling.

Surviving are her husband, Raymond F. Kitts; a daughter, Rhonda Trent of Rittman; grandchildren Charles (Janell) Trent of SC and Ashley (Ismael) Caberea of Loudonville; six great-grandchildren.

A grandson, Brandon Nelson died previously.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at Gillman Funeral Home, 360 W. Sunset Drive, Rittman, with pastor John J. Whitman officiating. There will be no calling hours and burial of her remains will be at Rittman Cemetery.
