Jennett Lucca, age 93, of International Falls, MN passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus June 29, 2017 in Blaine, MN surrounded by her family.
She was born in Birchdale, MN to Nancy and Myron Barnes November 18, 1923. Jennett’s mother Nancy passed when Jennett was only 3 months old.
She graduated from Falls Senior High School and married Geno Lucca in August 1942 and began a family which included 15 children, 12 of which are still living.
She was a cherished daughter of Christ, devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She was kind to all those that crossed her path. Jennett enjoyed reading, walking, dancing with her husband, family gatherings, blueberry picking, wild ricing and being a mother.
Jennett is preceded in death by her husband, Geno Lucca; daughter, Kathleen Dunbar; sons, John and Tony Lucca; son-in-law, Duane (Beaver) Earnest; brother, Harvey Barnes; sisters: Martha Nelson, and Florence Covel; parents, Myron and Nancy Barnes.
Jennett is survived by her 12 children: David (Michaele) Lucca, Paul (Anna) Lucca, Julia Earnest, James Lucca,, Virginia (Stanley) Conwell, Maryann (Steve) Stone, Joseph (Conni) Lucca, Carolyn (Rich) Gauthier, Peter (Susie) Lucca, Bernadette (Joe) Corbett, Christine (Mike) Ostman, and Daniel (Angela) Lucca; 96 grand- and great-grandchildren.
Burial in the St. Thomas Catholic Cemetery where she will be laid to rest next to her husband Geno.
