Virgil Palmer Hardin, age 84, lifelong Farris area resident.

BORN: August 19, 1922 at Darwin, OK to Jasper Newton and Ollie (Horton) Hardin.

PASSED AWAY: Saturday, February 24, 2007 at the Atoka Memorial Hospital.

AGE: 84 years - 6 months - and 6 days

EDUCATION: Virgil attended Pine Springs and Atoka Schools.

MARRIED: Pauline F. Scales on November 29, 1948 at Antlers, Oklahoma

OCCUPATION: He was the Atoka County Farm Bureau agent for over 25 years. He was also a farmer and rancher.

CHURCH AFFILIATION: Virgil was a longtime member of the Farris Church of Christ.

He served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He was a longtime member of the D.A.V. - American Legion and the V.F.W. - and was presently the V.F.W. Commander. He was a member of the Farris Fire Dept. and served many years on the Atoka County Soil Conservation Board.
