Esther (Murphy) Dunn was born on March 25, 1850, in Ireland. She was the daughter of Mary (Kennedy) Murphy and Patrick Murphy.
She married Patrick Dunn. She was survived by three daughters and three sons.
She died at home in Rockville, Connecticut on August 21, 1914.

Mrs. Esther Dunn
Mrs. Esther Dunn, widow of Patrick Dunn, died at her home on School street Friday afternoon of diabetes, aged 64 years. She had been ailing for an extended period and had been confined to her bed for nine months. She was born in Ireland but had lived in Rockville for the past sixteen years. She was a quiet and unassuming woman of many lovable qualities. She was a member of St. Bernard's church. She had a wide circle of friends. She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Mary North of this city, Mrs. Charles North of Clayville, N. Y., and Mrs. Matthew McNamara of this city, and three sons, Thomas Dunn, of Windsor Locks, John Dunn of Hartford, and Patrick Dunn of this city, also a sister, Mrs. Patrick Keating of Auburn, N. Y.
The funeral was attended a 9 o'clock Monday morning from St. Bernard's church, with high mass, Rev. M. H. May, the rector, officiating. There were many beautiful floral tributes. Burial was in St. Bernard's cemetery, the bearers being John Donovan, W. Burke, Thomas Hassett, Jas. and Dennis McCarthy and Patrick Fitzpatrick.
