Mary Jane Galer's "Columbus, Georgia: Lists of People in the Town, 1828-1852, and Sexton's Reports to 1866" (2000), p. 182, shows: Mrs. BAKER died aged 33 years (cause of death not reported); buried 19 JUL 1849 (from "June & July 1849, deaths in the City," dated 13 AUG 1849). [Note that, despite the title, these are generally understood to be reports of interments in the city cemeteries, rather than accounts of the deaths within the city.]
This grave is probably not identifiably marked. Based on the burial date, it would be in either the Old Cemetery section or Section 1, unless it was subsequently moved, as the balance of the Linwood Cemetery area had not yet been opened up for burials.
