Film Director, Screenwriter. He received fame for being a Danish film director and screenwriter for both television and the big screen. Crediting him with an actor's role, his voice was for the 1946 cartoon of Han Christian Anderson's "Fytojet." He was given credit for four editing positions. He directed nine films which included in 1954 "Our Small Town" in 1954; a very successful film, "Curtains for Mrs. Knudsen" in 1971; in 1972 "Now goes to Dagmar" in 1972; his most successful film, "Me and the Mafia" in 1973; "Mafia, it is Me Too" in 1974; and "Only Truth" in 1975. For the first three and the last on the list, he wrote the screenplays. He was also behind episodes one through six of the television series of "Beach Washer" and episode one through four of "Kaj Munk." He directed television games, "Goodbye Thomas and Bella." As a boy he became fascinated with media and films. At that time to get an education in film or theater, there was only the Danish Royal Academy of Fine Arts. He got positions helping with documentary films and learned his trade on the job. He married and divorced twice. He is buried in a common grave site.
