Lucky Edwards

Browning — Gilbert "Lucky" Edwards was born on Sept. 2, 1958 to John Edwards and Victoria Blackboy Edwards. He's the youngest of 14 children.
Lucky is survived by his wife Renee Rutherford Edwards, sons: Cordan (Bull) Edwards, Wesley (Wes) Edwards, Randy (Rj) & Sarah Edwards, Gilbert Jr. (Ponch) & Kendra Edwards, Nolan Old Person Jr. Daughters: Heather Old Person & Josh, Rainey-dawn Rutherford & Brandon. Lucky had 9 grandsons and 4 granddaughters who he loved with all his heart. Samuel (Sam), Jayden (Bobbie), Colten (Dan), Rowdy (Max), Jhett, Racin Edwards, Ian Old Person (Sky Dancer), Elnathan Bradford, K'dyn Rutherford. Granddaughters: McKenna, Taylee (Pearl), Tazalynn (Taz) & Maticia Whitegrass. Lucky is survived by his siblings: June Pepion, Barb (Tom) Gallineaux, Peanut (Camron) Boggs, Donna Edwards and a brother Mickey (Bonnie) Edwards.

Lucky had an extensive work history: Cuts Wood Academy school, Vi-dock, I.H.S, snow shed, Blackfeet housing, Cutbank bridge, Swank Construction, Cutbank McDonalds, Heart Butte high school many others. His favorite was being a rancher.
Lucky was active in the Catholic Church: Alter boy, baptized Catholic, 1st communion, step 1 & 2 Cursillo. Lucky was also active with several community activities that involved children of Browning, such as winter coat drive, clothing drives. He loved teaching kids to ride horses, camping, fishing and showing how to do ranch work. Lucky always had kids with him whether they were family or not, he loved to be around and help kids, friends and family whenever and wherever he could.

Lucky was preceded in death by sisters: Mary Ellen, Baby girl Edwards, Dorothy, Shirley, Ellen Rose & Faye. Brothers: Bobby & Douglas Edwards, and a grandson Rustin Edwards.

Funeral mass was held July 11 at Little Flower Parish.
