Viola was born in Dunbar, OK, on May 25, 1920, to Jesse Bailey and Rosa Eva Siegler Bailey. All who knew Viola genuinely loved her. She was a self-made woman who worked hard and sacrificed much to provide the best she could for her family. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, crocheting, gardening, reading and spending time with all her family and friends. She was loved and will be missed by her special friends at Tuskahoma Baptist Church, Tuskahoma, OK; Lonesome Dove Baptist Church, Southlake; and Walnut Springs Baptist Church, Walnut springs.
Viola was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 50 years, Charles E. Cox Sr.; a son Charles E. Cox Jr.; sister, Clydia German; and brother, Orbin Bailey.
Survivors: Children, Barbara Wieder and husband, Arnold, of Georgetown, Patsy Hargis and husband, Rex, of Granbury, Peggy McGlashan and husband, Ron, of Walnut springs, Rick Cox and wife, Sandra, of Walnut Springs, Ronnie Cox of Walnut Springs and Jim Cox and wife, Melanie, of Hurst; beloved grandchildren, Dawn Street, Lori Mora, Mark Lanier, Tracy Hamilton, Brenda Krase, Cory Cox, Rickey Cox and Justin Cox; great-grandchildren, Nicholas Krase, Sasha Caves, Cody Lanier, Lacy Krase, Shayla Lanier, Joshua Lanier, Sheridan Mora and Carleigh Cox; and great-great-grandchild, Faith Ann Krase. Other surviving family members that brought joy to her were her brothers, Jesse Bailey of Lawton, OK, and Arthur Bailey of Oklahoma City, OK, and special adopted grandchildren, Jamie Bearden and Breanna Bearden.
