Caley Eugene Alberti, 76, of Wilmington died Sunday July 23, 2017. He was born in Wilmington on October 5, 1940 to Albert George and Sadie Ethel Woodcock Alberti.
Mr. Alberti joined the U.S. Navy at the age of 17 to support his mother and father. During this time he proudly served on the USS Intrepid during the Vietnam War. After 22 years of service he retired as a Senior Chief Hospital Corpsman. After returning home he began his work with the NC Dept. of Corrections for 25 years, where he retired as a Sergeant. For over the past 33 years he had also worked with EUE/ Screen Gems Studios as a security guard.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his two sisters and four brothers.
He is survived by his wife Jane of the home, children: Jan Cayton and husband Todd, Pamela Alberti, Donna Johnson and husband Mark, Samuel Alberti and wife Codi, Robert Jason Alberti and Thomas Alberti; 14 grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
A Visitation will be held from 6 pm to 8 pm Thursday July 27, 2017 at Coble Ward-Smith Funeral Services. The Funeral Service will be held at 11 am Friday July 28, 2017 at Coble Ward-Smith Funeral Services. The family will also receive friends one hour prior to the service on Friday. Interment will follow at Oleander Memorial Gardens.
