He was an avid outdoorsman and hunter and also enjoyed woodworking. Earlier in his life, he raised Boston bull terriers.
Born in Columbia, he was the son of the late George and Irene Shaub Null.
He was married to Lydia Packmore Null for 63 years in November.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, two sons, seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; a great-great-granddaughter; a brother, and a sister.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Erma Montgomery.
