Michael gained his angel wings at 12:55 p.m. 8 Aug 2017 after a 6 year battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife Annette and his children Andrew and Ashleigh and 3 grandchildren, and his brothers Lloyd and Earl, his sisters Kathy and Melanie.

(Charli), Melanie Higgins, brother-in-law Charlie Bordelon (Lynn), and cherished nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his father Earl Thornton Jr. and his mother Alice Rodrigue Thornton. Michael enjoyed a long and prosperous career in the IT field and Quality Control Industry. He loved spending time with his family and friends. Special thanks to the staff of Heart of Hospice and St. Joseph Hospice who loved and cared for him.
