Valter S. Cook, 59, Dies al St. Thomas Walter S. Cook, 59, of 1929 Lebanon road, died yesterday in St. Thomas hospital after an illness of five months.

The body is at Phillips-Robinson funeral home, 2707 Gallatin road.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. tomorrow at Salem Baptist church, liberty, Tenn. The Rev. Jeff Garn er will officiate.

Burial will be In Salem cemetery, Liberty. Mr. Cook was a native of DeKalb county.

A farmer, he moved to Davidson county five years ago.

He married the former Miss Pearl Hale, of DeKalb county, in He attended the Baptist church and was a member of the American Legion.

In addition to his widow, he is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Raymond Agee, Mrs. George Gragson and Miss Ruth Cook, all of Nashville; a son, Billy Cook, Nashville; two sisters, Mrs. Austin Hall Old Hickory, and Mrs. Freelon Hale, Nashville; and four brothers, Floyd Cook, Lebanon, Tenn, Burlie Cook. Dell Cook and Palmer Cook, all of Liberty, Tenn.
