Ruth Cook Carson, 91, of Mount Juliet, Tennessee, passed on to her heavenly home on Sunday, October 25, 2020. On August 2, 1929, Ruth was born into the home of Valter and Pearl (Hale) Cook. Ruth married Glenn Carson, her husband for 63 years, on August 30, 1957.

Mrs. Cook worked for Nashville Electric Service for a while, but took great pride in being a wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed doing things for others and planning and organizing events for the family. Being creative, she also enjoyed sewing and scrapbooking. Together, Ruth and husband, Glenn, preserved family heirlooms and maintained their family history.

Mrs. Carson was a charter member of Victory Baptist Church in Mount Juliet and really enjoyed spending time with her Sunday School Class.

Mrs. Carson is preceded in death by her parents and her siblings: Billy J. Cook, Vena Cook Agee, and Christine Cook Gragson. She is survived by husband, Glenn Carson, daughter Dr. Christy Carson Young (JR Spradlin); and, grandchildren Benjamin Young, Daniel Young, and Hannah Young.

The family would like to express their thanks to Kindred Palliative Care and Home Instead Senior Care – especially caregivers, Maggie, Sherrie, and Mary.

There will be a gathering of family and friends at Hermitage Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 27, 2020 from 10am until 12pm. A graveside service will be at Salem Cemetery, 483 North Main Street, Liberty, Tennessee at 1:00 pm.
