Margaret (Sis) Kuhlwein Nolan Guptill, formerly of Suffolk Street, Sag Harbor, died October 17 at the age of 84 years.
She was born May 8, 1901 in Brooklyn, the daughter of Leonard and Margaret Emmel Kuhlwein.
She was a bookkeeper.
Her first marriage to the late Dody Nolan ended in divorce. She was married to Sherwood Ashby Guptill who is also deceased. A stepchild, Howard Guptill, survives. Two brothers, George and Leonard Kuhlwein are deceased.
She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was a veteran of the US Army, honorably discharged, having served in the WACS during WWII from 1944 to 1945. She attended Pierson.
There was a graveside service, the Rev C Grimbol of the Presbyterian Church officiating Sunday afternoon at Oakland Cemetery here.
Memorial remembrances may be made to the First Presbyterian Church.
