LUBBOCK -- Bill Reynolds, 76, died Saturday, March 3, 2007 in a Lubbock hospital.

Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Rose Hill Cemetery in Merkel with Reverend Charles Copeland officiating, directed by Starbuck Funeral Home of Merkel. Visitation will be from noon to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Bill was born March 15, 1930 in Sweetwater to George Niewnham and Altha Belle Chambless Reynolds. Bill graduated from Trent High School in 1948 and attended Cisco Jr. College. He then joined the Air Force and served three years. He graduated from Texas Tech in 1972. Bill was a radio announcer for KFYO in Lubbock for many years. He owned and operated Great Plains Driving School and taught T.A.B.C. driving. He also taught at Girard High School for several years.

Survivors include his daughter, Rhonda Reynolds of Lubbock and a sister, Glenda Rutherford and husband Dale of Lake Brownwood.
